Thank you for volunteering to serve at Cumberland’s Faith in Action event at Argyle Elementary this Sunday, March 22nd. We’re so excited to serve alongside the faculty, staff, students, and families of Argyle to help improve the learning and working environment, but more importantly to build relationships and spread Christ’s love with the community.

 

Below are a few important details for you to know to prepare for this Sunday.

 

LOCATION: The school is located at 2420 Spring Road SE, Smyrna, GA  30080. The directions from Cumberland Community Church are listed below.

 

 

SCHEDULE: Our schedule for Sunday will be as follows:

§  8:00-8:30 - Volunteer Registration

§  8:00-12:00  - Service Projects

§  12:00-12:30  - Wrap up Projects & Clean-Up

§  12:30 - 1:30  - Lunch with the Argyle Community

 

TIME: Please be at the school cafeteria between 8:00-8:30am on Sunday morning to register. Projects will get started by 9:00am and should finish around 12:30pm followed by a community lunch. 

 

VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENTS:  All volunteer assignments have been uploaded to the FIA website and your specific volunteer assignment can be found by clicking the link below

We are updating the list daily with volunteers so if you don’t see your name, please check back or email us at cumberlandfia@gmail.com.  You may also receive an email from your specific project leaders with more specific details for your projects soon.  

 

REGISTRATION: We are asking all volunteers to arrive between 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM and check in at the Registration table. Please follow the signs to Registration from the Main Entrance.  Once you check in you will be directed to the location where you will meet up with your team leader and other team members.

 

CHILDCARE: For children 2 and under, there is childcare at Cumberland Community Church.  For children over 2, there will be childcare in the Argyle gym. Parents should pick-up their children by noon giving time to make it back to the school for lunch.

 

PARKING: For parking on Sunday, please park in front of Atlanta Pro-Percussion which is located on the left side of the school when facing the school.  Their address is 2520 Spring Road SE, Smyrna, GA 30080.  We will have a parking team on hand to direct you where to go upon arrival.

Distance: 0.5 miles                    Time: 2 mins.

 

       Head northeast on Sports Ave SE toward Spring Rd SE - Drive for 0.2 miles.

       Turn left onto Spring Rd SE - Drive for 0.3 miles.

       Arrive at Argyle Elementary School, 2420 Spring Road SE, Smyrna, GA  30080. Destination will be on the left.
